Celise you are the big 10 now!!

Celise you are getting so big and beautiful and smart, I am so proud of you! I love you so much. Just today you brought home a certificate that says you are the only one in the whole 4th grade to get 100% on the unit math test! That is amazing!! You are such a kind sister and friend. I love the way you talk to all of your sisters and Austin, you always have such a loving tone to your voice and I know that you love them so much. I know that you were the oldest for a reason, you have never been jealous of the other kids and that is pretty good considering you only had 13 months on the earth before you had to start sharing me with other kids. I know that you will continue to be a good student and great friend to all the friends you make, you take the word friend very seriously and I love that about you.

We had a great day on Celise's Birthday, she requested chocolate cheesecake and so I made that first thing that day so it would have time to cool. We invited Julie and the girls over that evening to share that with us, it was soo rich. But Celise loves anything chocolate so she loved it. Thank you Anneka, Gretchen and Nadia for the cute teddy bear you picked for Celise, she loves it and made me teach how to embroider the bears sweater that night. That was such a cute idea. It was so sad, we didn't have candles to put in the cheesecake and I knew that Celise would just want to dig in and eat the cake, but when I tucked her in to bed that night she was crying cause she didn't blow out candles and I am so bad, we didn't even sing to her. Well on Sunday we did another birthday for her with candles and cake and another present. She has been wanting a Tomagachi thing so she was excited to get that and have another cake which was of course double fudge chocolate with double fudge frosting. She forgave us I'm sure!

I'ts been a while

Well this week I started substitute teaching to earn a little extra money. My first assignment was at Dixie High School in the special ed department. I liked it but on the first day was a little saddened by the lack of motivation that the kids have, some kids of course are mentally challenged and are trying, but have a really hard time, and then there are the ones that you can tell are able to do the stuff but just have attitude problems and don't want to try. I don't know, I am sure that they are tested and are placed in special ed for a reason, but it was a little shocking to me. Well today was my second day and after talking to Mom last night about my experience, it didn't really bother me. I am a sub and they are teenagers, so any chance of getting away with not having to work they will surely take. So I get to go tomorrow and it is a half day so I will be done by 11:00am, now that is nice I have been done working the last two days at 1:20. Gives me time to run errands and still be home to be when the kids get out of school.

Other than that I have just been busy with normal stuff. I have taken two photo sessions in the last couple of weeks and that is always so much fun! Someday.... yeah I want to be a photographer like a lot of people I have met in the last little while. As to quote one of my professors "everyone who has a digital camera thinks they are a professional photographer" I really do want to be a professional photographer too! I have made a new blog with some of my favorite photos on it.

The kids are all doing good, they are all so excited to think that I might be subbing in their classes sometime. I know each of their teachers and so I'm sure that will happen and will be so much fun for me as well as totally exciting for them.

I just wanted to ramble on about things that have happened lately since I have not posted in such a long time. We went to the Jubilee of trees on Sunday, that was really neat. Julie I wanted so bad to go see Anneka, but I just couldn't make it. She is so cute I'm glad she had a good time and did well. The kids all sat on Santa's lap and got a candy cane, Alyssa asked Santa for a Power Wheels Ford F250 drivable car, oh boy! We will have to have some sort of talk with her cause I don't think she's gonna be getting one of those. When she told me what she asked for and told me how great it was that she thought to ask for that because "what ever you ask Santa for, You Get!!" I was secretly wishing their really was a Santa to fulfill her wish. But I know she will be fine, she already mentioned today something about being OK with it if she doesn't get her truck. I think maybe Celise or Austin had a nice little chat with her and said that she might not get it. How nice of them.

Halloween!

Still Recovering from Halloween

well not really, but it did take me a good day and a half for my feet to stop hurting. My halloween was so busy just as most other moms. I was especially exhausted from lack of sleep the two nights before cause I was up till about 2am sewing. It was fun sewing and all, but I wish I hadn't put it off till so late. Another dumb thing I did was to not line my kids up and take a picture. I need to get it together so I can remember these things. Oh well... anyways Celise was a geisha girl, Austin was frankenstein (thanks to my friend Carly - who lent me the suit jacket, I had no idea how I was gonna pull a suit jacket off. Im good a sewing, but not that good! Thank You!!!) Baylee was a cat and so cute, but I didn't take a picture of her in her full costume. So she has agreed to get into her costume tonight so I can. Alyssa was Hannah Montana, she loved being a blonde, and Alanah was a princess and we had an extra wig so she was blonde to. We did the parties in all the classrooms and the parade at the school. We also met up with Julie and the girls to trick-or-treat at a strip mall that we also did last year. I think that will be a good fun tradition, the kids love it and we go at like 4 so it kinda kicks off the rest of the night and gets them really excited. Not to mention that any time they get to spend with cousins is like heaven on earth for them. After that we all had dinner here at our house and then went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. That was fun, I love this neighborhood so much, it is so cute and all my neighbors are so great! We went early enough that we had lots of time to hand out candy to other kids, Alyssa especially loved that. And as we ran out of candy the kids were so willing to give out as much of their loot as we needed till it got about 8:30 and the trick-or-treaters were all done. We ended the night watching part of "poltergeist" (it is rated PG and so we thougth that would be fun) we didn't get all the way through it before Dave and I decided we should turn it off. The older kids wanted to keep watching, but it was a little to weird!!

It was a fun and full day!
